Teen volunteer Evelyn W. earns volunteer hours by writing book reviews. Check out her spoiler-free review of Cinder by Marissa Meyer below, and find out how you (or the teens in your life) can get involved!
From Evelyn:
"I give this book five stars! It was super exciting, and kept me guessing throughout the book. Cinder is a cyborg mechanic living in New Beijing, capital of the Eastern Commonwealth. In the Commonwealth, cyborgs are shunned and mistreated. There is also a deadly disease going around called letumosis. Cinder is hated by everyone, even her stepmother and stepsister, except for her two friends- her android, Iko, and her stepsister, Peony. One day at the market, Prince Kai shows up in disguise at her booth, wanting a droid fixed. Soon after, Peony contracts letumosis, and Cinder is sent on a wild ride that includes Lunars, the mind-controlling people who live on the moon, cyborg drafts, prison breaks, and more!"
Cinder is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series. Click here to request a copy for yourself and see what all the fun is about!
