The latest installment in our teen books-to-movies series is The Fault in Our Stars (2014, PG-13, 2 hours 13 minutes), based on the novel by John Green. The Fault in Our Stars follows Hazel as she deals with her cancer diagnosis. When she meets Gus at a cancer support group, her life will never be the same. Read the book on your own time, then join us for a screening of the film! Feel free to bring snacks and beverages, or even a full-on dinner if you wish. It’s Lit is geared toward teens in grades 9-12, but younger folks are also welcome. No signup required.
Our teen book club meets once a month to discuss a book we've chosen. If there's a film or television adaptation, we like to screen it; if there isn't one, we'll make a craft that's somehow related to the book.
